On March 18th, the Central Bank issued the "Administrative Measures on the Use of RMB Patterns" (revised draft), publicly soliciting opinions from the public, and proposed for the first time: the use of RMB patterns for sacrifice supplies.
The use of RMB patterns should comply with the following five regulations
1. Can only be used on one side.
2. No damage to the image of the renminbi or to the public interests of the country and society.
3. Don't mistake the public for RMB.
4. Ensure that the original proportions of the characters' heads and national emblems in the drawings of RMB are not deformed, distorted, destroyed or replaced.
5. The dark blue solid black font should be marked clearly in the middle of the pattern. The length and width of the pattern should not be less than 1/3 of the length and width of the pattern.
Consequences of using RMB drawings in violation of relevant regulations
Anyone who violates the provisions of these Measures shall be warned by the People’s Bank of China or its branches, ordered to make corrections, destroying the illegally used renminbi patterns, and confiscating the illegal gains.
In fact, prior to this, China had promulgated relevant legal provisions and regulations, such as Article 44 of the "People's Bank of China Law": If the renminbi pattern is used illegally on promotional materials, publications, or other commodities, the Chinese people The bank should order corrections, destroy the illegally used renminbi patterns, confiscate the illegal income, and impose a fine of not more than 50,000 yuan.
At the same time, there are also Article 26 of the “RMB Regulations of the People’s Republic of China”, which deliberately damages RMB, makes, imitates, buys and sells RMB patterns, or uses RMB in promotional materials, publications, or other commodities without the approval of the People’s Bank of China The drawings are all acts of damage to the RMB that are expressly prohibited.
